After you have enrolled, if you have questions relating to the course material, a licensed real estate instructor will be available for questions Monday through Friday between 9:00 A.M. EST and 5:00 P.M. EST.
We encourage students to e-mail the instructor with questions regarding the On-Line course at instructors@cookeschool.com. With an e-mail to the instructor, the student will have a written document of the response.
For questions by e-mail, there is a 24 Hour response time Monday through Friday, E-mails over Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday will be returned the first business day.

- Must be a citizen of the United States or a alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States.

Complete 45-hr Broker Course with the seat-time requirement.

Pass the proctored 3 hour end-of-course final with a 70% or better.
- Successfully pass the 2.5 hour NY State Exam with 70% or better. The fee for the exam is $15. Items necessary to bring to the state exam site are:
- Form of government issued ID bearing a photo

- Calculators are permitted as long as battery or solar power, silence and non-printing. The calculators cannot contain an alphabetic keyboard. (No PDA allowed)
- Must have participated in the general real estate brokerage business as a licensed real estate salesperson under the supervision of a licensed real estate broker for a period of not less than two years or has the equivalent experience in general real estate business for a period of not less than three years. The nature of the experience shall be established by affidavit duly sworn to under oath and/or oher and further proof required by the Department of State.
- Complete and file your application to the state. There is a $50 application fee. The student must apply for the real estate license within two (2) years of passing the state exam.

- This course is composed of 12 units/chapters. Each unit has four sections: Reading Assignment, Interactive Exercises, Reading Comprehensive Quiz and a Unit Exam.
- Each unit/chapter has a Reading Assignment. The course is designed with learning objectives so as the student goes through the Reading Assignment, the student knows what the objectives are.
- Every Reading Comprehension Quiz needs to be completed with a score of 100%. Each Unit Exam Quiz needs to be completed with a minimum score of 90%. This is the most important part of the course, because as the student works through these modules it demonstrates mastery of the course.
- A student can move onto the next unit without passing the previous one but, the student will not be able take the end-of-course final exam until everything is complete and passed.
- New York has seat-time so the student must remain on the course for 2,250 minutes.
- Upon completing the on-line portion of the course, the student must go to school Bookstore and pay the $50 Proctoring Fee. Bookstore Link
- The proctored end-of-course is:
- mailed to the exam center selected by the student. Proctor Centers
- given at selected times by the proctoring location, so a call to the school for scheduling is a must.
- a timed three hour exam.
- a multiple choice exam with four choices with 75 questions.
- an exam where the student must score 70% or more.
- an exam that must completed in one session.

- Once the student purchases this course, the student CANNOT get a refund.
- Once the student purchases the course, the student has ONE year to complete the program.
- This On-Line course does not require additional textbook support and NO additional course material is needed.
- If the student fails end-of-course exam, the student will receive a second exam. If the student fails the second time the student will need to retake the On-line course again and the student will need to pay the full tuition fee again
- This course is totally web based. The course is not downloadable. The student can work through the course at the student's convenience.
- This course is NOT designed to be printed for security purposes and copy right regulations.
- At the time of registration for the On-Line Distance Learning Course, the student will receive an e-mail from Dearborn's RE Campus, verifying the student's registration.
- Every On-Line student must agree to the following affidavit: " I certify that I have personally completed each assigned module of instruction and that my work in this course will be based on my own personal efforts, unassisted by any unauthorized individual or resource. I understand that receiving unauthorized assistance or tampering with course results will invalidate my course credit and may be a cause of action under the real estate laws and regulations of my state. I understand that the exam information provided to me for this course is solely for my own personal use and is not to be distributed to any other individual under any circumstance." - Upon completing the course on-line portion of the course the student must call the school and set up the final exam. The final exam is a proctored exam. The exam will be mailed to the proctor. The proctor is responsible for mailing the exam back to the school for grading.
- The school will report the completion to the state and mail the certificate of completion to the student.
